It was a dream to establish a Bangladeshi community school in Korea, mainly for families with children above 4 years old who are not comfortable attending Korean schools. Finally, the dream came true with the help of a few distinguished professors working at Korean Universities, Post-doctoral researchers, PhD students, businessmen, and other Bangladeshi family members.

1st “Bangladesh Community School, Korea” inauguration ceremony was held at a prestigious restaurant, “Bombay Grill” at Itaewon, Seoul, on August 28, 2022. The gorgeous event ceremony was held in the presence of distinguished guests, student guardians, students, and many more guests.

The inauguration ceremony was virtually inaugurated by Prof. A.M.S Arefin Siddiqui, former vice chancellor of Dhaka University of Bangladesh, followed by the inauguration speech of Prof. Dr. Manwar Hussain, Principal of Bangladesh Community school Korea. In their speeches, they emphasized the need for the Bangladeshi language and culture for the students who are living abroad. Furthermore, they appreciated the endeavor and afforded to establish a School in South Korea.
The chief guest in the opening ceremony was Park Hee Yong, mayor of Yongsun City, Seoul. A special guest was Prof. Kim Youn Joo, a Professor at Cyber University. In addition, city corporation councilor Kim Yong Ho, Vice president of the Itaewon tourism board, Jong Gun Bum, attended the inauguration session. In their speech, all of them appreciated for inviting them to this noble program and praised the establishment of the first Bangladesh Community School Korea in Korea. Furthermore, they promised to support the School for future needs.

Among the distinguished guests, 30 guardians of students and teachers attended this program. All the parents and the teachers are optimistic about doing their best for the quality and moral education of children admitted to this School.

Dr. Kamrul Islam, Vice principal of the School and Dr. Fatema Farhana Sathi conducted the whole program. Finally, the speech of the School Chairman, Dr. Kamrul Hasan, ended the program, followed by lunch and refreshments.
